[VIDEO] "Just Stand Up" - LIVE!

It's finally here! In case you missed the Stand Up For Cancer special last night, we have the live performance of "Just Stand Up", done by 13 of some of the hottest ladies in music today. Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge & LeAnn Rimes weren't in attendance, but they instead added Nicole Scherzinger from The Pussycat Dolls to the roster. The song, "Just Stand Up", a charity song done by various artists from different genres, has leaked. It's not exactly what I was thinking, but it's very nice nevertheless! It features artists like Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Beyonce, & more, all helping to raise awareness and research profits for cancer. Just Stand Up To Cancer: Another Coalition

Back in 2001, artists such as Destiny's Child, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Monica, Alicia Keys and many others redid Marvin Gaye's song "Whats Going On". The song was done to spread the awareness about AIDS. Back in 2004 another group of artist came together to influence people to vote. Akon, Ashanti, Brandy, Faith Evans, Musiq Soulchild, Monica, Mary J. Blige are some of the few artist that helped make this message a success.

NOW, It's 2008 and according to Billboard.com, this year will be about spreading the awareness of Cancer. The song is called "Just Stand Up" and will be premiered and available on iTunes September 2nd. All proceeds will go toward cancer research. Artists who collaborated on this track include Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Sheryl Crow, Natasha Bedingfield, Melissa Etheridge, Miley Cyrus & Ciara. There are 15 artist, all females, and all spreading the message about cancer. The Stand Up To Cancer TV special will be aired September 5th on ABC, NBC, and then CBS. This weeks issue of Page Six Magazine features The Princess of Hip-Hop and R&B, Ashanti. In the magazine Ashanti talks about Rihanna; giving her props for "working" the industry instead of the other way around. She also says she respects other artist who have rose to super stardom since 2002, when she first came out. Check the magazine out online. Oh yea, she also talks about wedding plans. ;D

[VIDEO] ASHANTI - "GOOD GOOD"

FINALLY! The video for "Good Good", Ashanti's second single off her fourth album, The Declaration. The video was set to premiere tomorrow, and air every hour on the hour, and still is, but it leaked somehow anyway. The video is quite "tasteful", and features cameo from rap artist Nelly. Check it out!
Ashanti has also confirmed that she will be co-hosting BET's 106 & Park with Terrance on Thursday (tomorrow) & Friday! The video for "Body On Me", which is Nelly's single and features Ashanti & Akon, also premieres Friday on FNMTV as well.

Nelly's video for his next single, Body On Me which features Ashanti and Akon, was shot about two weeks ago. The video should arrive any day now. Just recently pics from the video shoot were released and Ashanti looks AMAZING! All three artists appear in the video and it looks like it's going to be a good one. MTV looks back at different artist and their wardrobe as they appear at the Video Music Awards. This year the award ceremony will be held in Los Angeles at the Paramount Studios on September 7. Rumor has it, the fans get to pick the nominees for each category and votes will determine who wins the hardware.
